  • Copilot for Azure AI: Microsoft has expanded Copilot’s capabilities, enabling developers to create AI-powered apps faster than ever. Copilot now integrates deeply with Azure Machine Learning, streamlining everything from data preparation to deployment. 
  • Copilot Everywhere: From Microsoft Teams to Dynamics 365, Copilot now offers more tailored experiences, helping organisations automate complex workflows, deliver actionable insights, and improve productivity across departments. 
  • Copilot in Teams can now understand, and answer questions based on visual content shared onscreen—including PowerPoint slides and web content. It can also summarise files shared in chats without opening them. Public preview expected in early 2025. 
  • Copilot + AI Stack – The Copilot stack enhances product development with advanced technology. Microsoft introduced Azure AI Foundry, a platform for designing, customising, and managing next-gen AI apps and agents. Integrated with GitHub, Visual Studio, and Copilot Studio, it combines various AI models, tools, and monitoring solutions into one experience. Foundry supports both pro code SDK and an enterprise management portal, helping businesses scale AI applications efficiently and manage AI safety, reliability, and performance. 
  • Copilot+ Devices  – Microsoft is expanding its Cloud PC solution with new devices designed to connect securely to Windows 365 in seconds. Announcements include Windows 365 Link, Windows Copilot Runtime updates, and new security and resiliency features. Additionally, Surface and OEM Copilot+ PCs remain integral to their edge strategy.

  • SQL Server 2025 is an AI-ready database platform leveraging Azure Arc for cloud agility. It maintains top security and performance while simplifying AI application development with built-in AI and RAG patterns. Now in private preview. 
  • Microsoft Fabric Expansion: Microsoft Fabric now includes new tools for data integration, governance, and visualisation, making it a one-stop shop for enterprise analytics. 
  • Fabric Databases: The introduction of Fabric Databases, which integrate transactional databases natively into the Fabric analytics platform, unifies transactional and analytical workloads. This integration aims to streamline data management and improve efficiency. 
  • Build intelligent apps with Fabric Databases. The new Fabric workload unifies transactional and analytical workloads, simplifying AI app development with autonomous databases that are secured by default and provisioned within seconds. Microsoft’s SQL database, built on SQL Server, brings AI capabilities across operational and analytical data. 
  • AI Functions in Microsoft Fabric: Perform text tasks like summarisation, classification, sentiment analysis, and grammar correction with minimal code. This feature simplifies AI enrichments through a streamlined API. (Public preview). OneLake Catalogue: Manage and govern your Microsoft Fabric data estate, including structured/unstructured data, lakehouses, warehouses, ML models, notebooks, and reports. 
  • Explore (GA): Easily filter and manage all accessible data in one place, with actions available upon double-clicking items for further exploration. 
  • Govern (2025 Preview): Quickly gather status information on data endorsements, labeling, types, and recommended actions for improved quality and compliance.  
  • Azure Synapse Real-Time Analytics: Businesses can leverage real-time analytics for faster decision-making, with enhanced support for streaming data and large-scale processing. 
  • Data Sovereignty Tools: Responding to growing concerns about compliance, Microsoft introduced region-specific solutions that ensure data sovereignty while maintaining performance.

  • New advancements for securing AI and new skills for Security Copilot: The updated capabilities in Purview include Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for Microsoft 365 Copilot, prevention of data oversharing in AI apps, and detection of risky AI use such as malicious intent, prompt injections, and misuse of protected materials. Additionally, Microsoft Purview introduces Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), which provides customers with a unified interface to proactively discover data risks, such as sensitive data in user prompts, and receive recommended actions and insights for quick responses during incidents. 
  • Microsoft Security Copilot: Building on the success of Azure AI, Security Copilot uses generative AI to detect, analyse, and respond to threats faster than ever. 
  • Zero Trust Enhancements: Microsoft has doubled down on Zero Trust, introducing new tools for continuous verification and identity protection. 
  • Zero Day Quest is the largest security research event in the industry. Microsoft’s bug bounty program pays over $16 million annually for top-tier research, more than any other. This year, Zero Day Quest adds $4 million in rewards for cloud and AI security, critical areas for our customers. 
  • End-to-End Threat Intelligence: Through deeper integrations across its security stack, Microsoft now offers a more comprehensive view of potential threats, enabling faster and more accurate responses.
