Below is some information on the three charities the event supported. Manchester Mind Their purpose is to support better mental health for everyone, and believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and that they have a part to play in that. In 2011, Manchester Mind became one of 137 Local Mind Associations, as they affiliated to national Mind. Despite this, they remain an independent charity, governed by their own trustees. Stick ‘n’ Step Stick ‘n’ Step works with children and young people with cerebral palsy, and their families, from all across North West England and North Wales. The organisation was formed in 2002 by a group of parents of children and young people who have cerebral palsy. Stick ‘n’ Step was established to provide free conductive education sessions to children and young people from across North West England and North Wales. Calm They are the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we’re leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. Together CALM help our boys, our dads, our mums, brothers, sisters, friends and colleagues. They spread their message and facilitate supportive spaces in workplaces, universities, pubs, clubs and prisons across the country – so that people feel empowered to share their experiences and get the help they need before they reach the point of crisis.
