Prestigious award underlines SCC’s commitment to Public Sector IT services

SCC, Europe’s biggest independent technology solutions provider, has won Public Sector and Utilities Solution of the Year at the 12th European IT & Software Excellence Awards for its work with West Midlands Police (WMP).

The European IT & Software Excellence Awards, widely regarded as Europe’s most prestigious IT Channel Awards, recognise and reward excellence in European software development, IT and Telecoms solutions provision. The awards, organised by IT Europa, bring together leading Channel Partners, Resellers, System Integrators, ISVs, MSPs, Services Providers, Distributors, Solutions and Marketing Channels from across Europe to demonstrate their ability to provide industry-leading IT solutions for their customers. SCC was awarded Public Sector and Utilities Solution of the Year for helping WMP transform its IT procurement model, creating a faster, more efficient supply process and delivering significant efficiency and cost savings for the force. Other finalists in the category included 4net Technologies (headquartered in the UK), Content Guru (UK), and ININ Informaticki inzenjering d.o.o. (Croatia). Adam Clark, National Sales Director at SCC, said: “I’m delighted to accept this award on behalf of SCC, and I would like to thank our Public Sector team for its tremendous work with West Midlands Police and other organisations throughout the UK. The European IT & Software Excellence Awards are recognised within our industry as one of the most prestigious prizes, and this win underlines SCC’s commitment to Public Sector IT services and delivering excellence.” Richard Reader, Head of Public Sector at SCC, said: “SCC has a long and successful track record of helping Public Sector customers evolve their IT services, helping them grow and adapt to new technologies, innovations, and ways of working. The recent shift to digital has created a greater reliance on external service providers, and SCC has stepped up to that challenge. We are delighted to partner with emergency services organisations across the UK and we’re particularly proud of our award-winning, partnership with West Midlands Police, through which we have helped improve the way the force procures its services. Our Lifecycle Services also deliver additional value in the form of environmental benefits, and we look forward to extending the solution to other UK forces.” Public Sector and Utilities Solution of the Year
