SCC, Europe’s largest independent IT solutions firm, has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Big Data and Analytics agreement.
SCC has been awarded a Framework Contract for Lot 2 on the agreement, which offers commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software specifically for big data and analytics capabilities to Public Sector organisations. This includes:
- Big data management
- Data mining, risking and science (analysing large databases to generate new information)
- Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Reporting and analytics
- Search and discovery
CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers. SCC has teamed with IBM to deliver solutions under the CCS Big Data and Analytics agreement, which extends SCC’s reach into Public Sector and deepens its long-established partnership with IBM. Adam Clark, Chief Revenue Officer at SCC, said: “We have delivered technology innovation across the Public Sector for the past 30 years – supporting organisations of all shapes and sizes on their digital transformation journey. SCC’s inclusion on the Big Data and Analytics agreement is the latest opportunity for these organisations to benefit from increased quality and value, at a critical time for digitalisation and data management. “I’m delighted to be working with IBM on delivering services under this agreement, adding even greater depth to our partnership which extends over 40 years. SCC was the first UK IBM Platinum Business Partner and together we have helped hundreds of customers navigate the growing hybrid cloud and AI ecosystem.”
