SCC Digital appoints Sales and Marketing Director

European technology solutions and services provider SCC has appointed IT channel heavyweight Mark Halpin as Sales and Marketing Director of SCC Digital. 

Mark left his role of CEO of CloudCoCo in April 2024, exiting the business he founded six years ago and led to becoming one of the UK’s fastest growing MSPs. 

SCC Digital is the managed services arm of SCC, focused on providing a holistic approach to solving business challenges using IT solutions. 

Mark Halpin, newly appointed Sales and Marketing Director of SCC Digital, said: 

“After leaving CloudCoCo earlier this year, I made a promise to take all the burning fire in my heart into my next venture. In that time, I have explored dozens of opportunities – but SCC Digital stood out to me as the right fit, at the right time, for me to bring my entrepreneurial spirit into a private, family-owned business that is poised to lead the cloud, cybersecurity, data, and AI market in the next 2-3 years – backed by the behemoth that is SCC.

Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in managed services and held senior sales and leadership roles with InTechnology and Redcentric before founding CloudCoCo in 2018. His effervescent approach to life and work is shaped by personal experience, fuelled by the tragedy of his father dying aged 40, when Mark was just 21. 

“That experience, which many people have unfortunately gone through, gave me a unique perspective and energy,” Mark added, “I entered managed services when the industry was in its infancy and I am passionate about storytelling and delivering outcomes for customers – not just selling shiny stuff. That requires good people who are able to use innovative technology and turn data and AI-driven insights into practical application that has a tangible impact for organisations, whatever personas or performance metrics they have. 

“On the cybersecurity side, we’re focused on the speed at which digital can help, to mitigate risk and ultimately improve the lives of our customers, who put their trust in us to get it right.
