New SCC offices opened in Bacău, Romania
Our Founder and Chairman Sir Peter Rigby recently visited Romania in Iasi and Bacau in part to open our newly completed offices in the centre of Bacau. The new Headquarters were inaugurated in the presence of employees and the most important partners and representatives of local authorities in the city and region. These included: • Lucian Gabriel-BOGDĂNEL – Bacău Prefect • Valentin Ivancea – President of the County Council • Professor phd.ingineer Carol Schnakovszky – Rector of University Vasile Alecsandri • Lecturer phd.ingineer Andrei Octavian Paraschivescu – Rector of University George Bacovia Sir Peter was accompanied by the senior UK Services management team who interacted with and received comprehensive presentations from the services management teams in Romania in what has been the first non-virtual meeting of key teams in some two years given the Covid pandemic and associated travel restrictions. SCC employs in excess of 1100 people in Romania and the relocation of our brand new Bacau office for 350 staff now completes the rehousing of our Romanian teams into modern, high-quality buildings where we have adapted to the work challenges and expectations from our workforce. The range of services and capabilities of SCC Romania are constantly evolving and it’s important that we continue to develop all our businesses and that we encourage customers and prospects to visit Iasi and Bacau where the impressive array of experienced talent and enthusiasm to support SCC and its customers is massively evident. Our services have evolved over the years, and it is important that all of us understand the part they play in the presentation of SCC as the IT service provider of choice.
