Paying tribute to SCC’s on-site teams
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, SCC has been working tirelessly to keep our customers operational. With many of SCC’s employees working from home, in accordance with social distancing guidelines published by the Government and health authorities, some of our most important roles have remained on-site, both at SCC premises across the UK and visiting customers when absolutely necessary. We want to show our appreciation for SCC staff still working in stores, at our National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Birmingham, out on the road responding to urgent calls and based at customer sites. Our Supply Chain Services teams, field engineers and DCS operational support teams have enabled SCC to deliver uninterrupted services to our customers despite the difficult circumstances, in turn helping those customers – including NHS Trusts and other critical service providers – cope with the challenges brought by Covid-19. These are unprecedented times and this work has not gone unnoticed, with a constant stream of messages from colleagues and customers all thanking SCC’s on-site teams for their continued hard work and commitment. One customer, a leading UK water and wastewater services company, took the time to comment on how SCC is ensuring routine calls are answered quickly and professionally, offering our normal excellent customer service with added reassurance. A spokesperson for the company said: “SCC has provided excellent service all round. It’s very pleasing to see this sort of recognition, especially when we consider the unique and challenging circumstances the team are working under.” Congratulations and thank you to the teams on-site at SCC and our field engineers for going above and beyond and delivering exceptional services throughout the coronavirus crisis.
