SCC chief hails 2019 “best year ever” ahead of 45-year celebration

• SCC named Reseller of the Year (£50m+) at prestigious CRN Awards • Award is the latest milestone in SCC’s “best year ever”, according to Chief Executive James Rigby • Firm achieved sixth successive year of record growth in FY19, with revenue now at £2.2bn • SCC services and solutions growth of 15% on previous year • SCC continues to reinvest, with £7m HQ refurbishment underway and new office opened in the heart of Leeds in November 2019 • SCC also won places on ten major new frameworks this year, with greater presence in the public sector SCC Chief Executive James Rigby has described 2019 as the tech firm’s “best ever year”, after it rounded off a series of milestone achievements with CRN’s top reseller award at a prestigious awards ceremony in London. SCC was named Reseller of the Year (£50m+) by CRN at its annual event after “demonstrating unflinching dedication and commitment to its partners, people and its customers.” The award was SCC’s ninth of the year, having picked up a number of accolades throughout 2019 for its services and solutions, community programmes, and successful vendor partnerships. Other highlights have included SCC’s sixth successive year of record growth. Revenues for the year ending 31 March 2019 reached £2.2bn, including 15% year-on-year growth in services and solutions revenue, some of which is being reinvested in SCC’s commercial premises, with its Birmingham based global headquarters currently undergoing a significant £7m refurbishment. Earlier in November, SCC officially opened its new sales office in the heart of Leeds, building on the continued success of its North West commercial business team. Europe’s largest independent IT solutions provider has also celebrated winning places on ten major new frameworks this year including a framework designed to drive new business around artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) technologies, under the name ‘SPARK’. SCC Chief Executive James Rigby said: “SCC has continued to achieve year-on-year growth throughout a turbulent time for business in the UK and substantial reinvestment we’ve made over the last few years. I’m proud to lead a business that is bursting with talent and dedication to succeed – and what we’ve managed to achieve in 2019 has to make it the best year ever. “Not just in terms of financial results or award wins – but also in the close, valuable, long-term relationships we build and maintain with our customers.
