SCC helps 20,000 ex-NHS workers return to service to battle COVID-19
SCC has been working closely with the national information and technology partner to the health and social care system using digital technology to transform the NHS and social care, to enable ex-NHS to return to work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This has included printing bespoke NHS Smart Cards to support 20,000 ex-NHS workers returning to service and ID for thousands of volunteers joining the NHS to help it cope with surging demand and strain on health services due to the coronavirus outbreak. Despite this being just a small part of in huge operation, with the NHS currently under the most pressure it has ever faced, we’re proud to have delivered this crucial project under challenging circumstances. A spokesperson for the customer said: “I’d like to call out the support we’ve received from SCC and in particular Iram Nazir, in supporting our healthcare needs in the NHS over the last few weeks. He and the team have been fantastic and provided excellent support to my organisation supporting NHS trusts. Your flexibility and support in enabling our colleagues to work remotely has been excellent.” SCC Chief Executive James Rigby said: “The NHS is working tirelessly, and we’re delighted we can play a small role in helping deliver support to NHS trusts.” Congratulations to Iram and the team!
