SCC donates essentials to Let’s Feed Brum to help the homeless
Last month, SCC donated essential items to Let’s Feed Brum to support those experiencing and at risk of homelessness. As a volunteer-led charity, Let’s Feed Brum rely on the local community donating their time to support the homeless. From handing out food and essential supplies, having much-needed conversations with those in need, participating in evening walkabouts and weekly breakfast events, sourcing items, donating food and fundraising, volunteers are invaluable to the charity. In total, SCC donated 63 backpacks, 29 hoodies, 31 polo shirts and 24 water bottles to the charity. Let’s Feed Brum Trustee, Alan Strang explains the impact SCC’s donation will have: “We work with hundreds of vulnerable people who are in need in Birmingham. Thanks to the generous donations from SCC, both Let’s Feed Brum and For Refugees have been able to distribute essential items to these people. The backpacks donated, for example, will be beneficial in keeping any personal items safe.” To learn more about Let’s Feed Brum, click here.
