Staff volunteer for Operation Christmas Child
On 26th and 29th November, staff volunteered to help the Operation Christmas Child campaign. They packed boxes with toys and stationery which will be distributed to children who would otherwise go without for Christmas. Each year, the Samaritan’s Purse charity run the ‘Operation Christmas Child’ campaign where they send boxes filled with toys, hygiene products and school stationery supplies to children around the world who may not otherwise receive anything at Christmas. Chief Revenue Officer, Adam Clark encouraged his management team as well as others from the business to step up and join him in volunteering at the distribution centre, where they checked the boxes and made sure they were customs approved and all items were safe for the children. Once these items were checked by our volunteers, they were then sent off to children just in time for Christmas. Our volunteers also raised £1,100 for the campaign. If you would like to support Operation Christmas, please donate here. The team had a great time with other volunteers from the local community. This vital work will help to put a smile on children’s faces this Christmas. Chief Revenue Officer, Adam Clark said “We had a great day volunteering for the Operation Christmas Child campaign in one of their distribution facilities with colleagues and the local community. Packing boxes filled with toys and stationery knowing they will put a smile on children’s faces on Christmas day who would otherwise go without was truly humbling. The work this charity do to bring the community together to help so many children around the world is incredible and we look forward to working with them in future.”
