Driving digital transformation in healthcare whilst reducing cost of ownership
SCC has partnered with one of the UK’s prominent public sector healthcare organisations to drive digital innovation and fundamentally transform the way healthcare is delivered, whilst reducing total cost of ownership of its IT estate using the SCC Flex Start finance scheme. The healthcare organisation delivers an essential service to UK hospitals, directly responsible for saving lives daily. At any given time, employees need visibility of exactly where supplies are, exactly where they’ve been and exactly who they’ve gone to, so it is critical that staff are equipped with technology that allows them to access this information in a timely manner. With a view to become asset-free within 3-5 years, the organisation underwent a large-scale transformational project to move away from its legacy infrastructure and begin transitioning services into the cloud. It partnered with SCC to design and execute a solution to refresh the entire desktop estate and provide futureproof technology to support desktop modernisation. The organisation wanted to enable seamlessly switching between tablet and laptop mode, providing secure access information and applications from the cloud, even when on the move – but needed to achieve this is a way that is affordable throughout the duration of the transformation project. The project is funded using SCC’s Flex Start finance scheme, reducing the total cost of ownership. Flex Start simplifies the purchasing process by consolidating all invoices for purchased equipment into one predictable quarterly statement, reducing administration and making it easier to audit. Following a successful hardware rollout, SCC provides ongoing managed services to all sites across the UK and 24×7 support from SCC’s award-winning customer service centre, and the healthcare organisation has benefitted from reduced total cost of ownership through the Flex Start finance scheme.
