3D Printing Continues Growth Curve

Global shipments of 3D printers rose by more than 19% in Q4 2015, compared to the same quarter a year before, according to UK-based channel analyst, CONTEXT. Of the total 73,012 units shipped in the final quarter of last year, 96% were desktop or personal printers – up 22%. Shipments in the industrial/professional segment however, declined by 24% to 2,907 units. For the full calendar 2015, the total market saw a growth of more than 30% in shipments.
