Business as Usual Following HP Separation
HP partners will be aware that the company was formally separated into HP Inc (HPI), which is now focused exclusively on personal systems and printing, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), which is focused on business infrastructure, software and services.
The two organisations will be even better placed to innovate and compete, with more focus, financial strength and flexibility. HP issued a statement explaining that “For partners this provides a more compelling HP proposition to share with customers. We expect this to translate into even faster response times and a new generation of HP solutions and services that will enthuse and inspire partners and customers.
“For HP customers it is very much business-as-usual for now though. We continue to offer and support the full HP Enterprise portfolio. We view the formation of HPI and HP Enterprise as a very positive move and one that brings significant potential to resellers. We have been preparing for the change for some time and we expect it to be a very smooth transition. Indeed, we see additional opportunities to increase HP focus and capabilities. We are already looking beyond the transition and planning for 2016, which we believe will see even more potential to develop and build with HP.“
