‘Cloud Shift’ to Gather Pace

Gartner has predicted a huge cloud shift, with more than $1 trillion of total IT spending to be attributable to the cloud within five years. This year, the ‘cloud shift’ as the analyst calls it, will generate $111 billion revenues and will reach $216 billion by 2020. The rate of ‘shift’ for business process outsourcing is 43%, for software 37%, and infrastructure 17%.
