Enterprises will Shift More to the Cloud in 2017

The proportion of enterprise IT budgets set aside for cloud and hosting services is set to rise from 28% to 34% in 2017, according to a report from 451 Research. The move away from Capex, better scalability and flexibility, along with the need to transform IT, are driving the shift. Of the spending on cloud, 42% will go on software, 31% on infrastructure, 14% on managed services, 9% on security and 5% on professional services.
