HP Enterprise and SanDisk Plan to Make Memory 1,000x Faster

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has announced that it is working with SanDisk to develop memory chips that will be 1,000 times faster than standard flash memory and capable of replacing DRAM.

Developments will make use of HPE’s Memristors and SanDisk’s non-volatile ReRAM memory technology. The two companies also will partner in enhancing data centre solutions with SSDs.
