HP Inc. Plans to Disrupt ‘Outdated’ Copier Sector

HP Inc. has said that its plans to ‘disrupt and reinvent the $55 billion copier industry’ with its planned $1.05 billion acquisition of Samsung’s printer business. Describing it as ‘a segment that hasn’t innovated in decades and describing copiers as ‘outdated, complicated machines with dozens of replaceable parts requiring inefficient service and maintenance agreements’, HP says it intends to replace copiers with superior multi function technology.
