HP World Tour
HP World Tour comes to London to showcase innovation in the Pillars of the New Style of Business: Big Data; Cloud; Mobility and Security
500 customers and partners attended the event to explain their business challenges to the UK&I Leadership team and to hear about HP’s successes and innovation in enabling them to take advantage of transforming to the New Style of Business.
They heard from head of HP UK&I Andy Isherwood about how the UK GDP growth and now a majority government will be positive for business in the UK and how HP are putting the focus back on their customers and partners and going back to their roots with a renewed concentration on innovation. HP’s Chief Customer Office and EVP of Technology and Operations John Hinshaw told the audience about HP’s journey to the New Style of IT. They also heard from Kim Hammonds, Deutsche Bank CIO about the challenges her business faces and how HP are helping her to overcome them and from our key partners including INTEL and Citrix.
The four pillars of The New Style of Business: Cloud, Big Data, Mobility and Security along with Digital Customer Experience then became the focus with engaging and interactive discussions including:
• Get your applications fit for Cloud
• Turning your Data into Assets – are you All-In?
• I want an app and I want it now (and it has to work)
• You’ve outsourced your application development – have you outsourced the risk?
• The World is in Beta – Digital customer experience in the digital age
The event unfolded in the majestic location of Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in the heart of London spanning three floors, offering a little bit of everything to customers who are either new to the four pillars (technology showcase) or already thinking strategically about them but not having the tools or experience to take those strategies further (transformation workshop). As always, linking HP to their customers were our trusted partners who were on hand to provide insights and share experiences brewing an interactive environment which could take ideas from conception to action.
Their time as Ambassadors was truly rewarding and inspiring, giving HP the motivation to take some of the brilliant things they heard and passing them on to their colleagues. We would recommend anybody to apply for a role at HP Discover London to taste what is a truly excellent event.
