HPE named a leader in Forrester Wave Hyperconverged Infrastructure report
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has been recognized by Forrester as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Q3 2018 report. We want to thank our customers and partners for making HPE SimpliVity, a key part of the HPE Software-Defined portfolio, their preferred choice in hyperconverged to make hybrid IT simple to own and operate. It is your work with us, and your valuable feedback, that has enabled us to continue to innovate in this space.
HPE was among the Leaders in the Forrester Wave report, which was based on a 36-criterion evaluation. We received the highest scores possible in the professional services and product strategies criteria, and among the top three highest scores in the manageability and ease of use and market presence categories. Acknowledging, in our opinion, the unique set of HPE SimpliVity data services and the value they bring to our customers. According to Forrester, “HPE SimpliVity offers a rich set of global multisite data management functions anchored by an always-on global deduplication and compression architecture and includes a comprehensive set of backup and recovery, and clones with disaster recovery (DR) capabilities and LAN/WAN optimization.” The report adds, “Paired with HPE OneSphere, HPE SimpliVity can deliver a hybrid cloud platform.” Our strategy, which we believe is validated by this report, is to enable customers with a hybrid cloud platform and experience to future proof their modern IT. The extensive evaluation in the report provides valuable information for IT professionals looking to make infrastructure choices over the next year.
As the report clearly indicates, “Hyperconvergence has evolved rapidly to reach the mainstream.” I completely agree with this observation that software-defined technologies like hyperconvergence and composable infrastructure have arrived and are being deployed by IT departments around the world. HPE is spearheading this transition to the next-generation data center, enabling digital transformation, and simplifying hybrid IT. It’s been very exciting to watch the growth in the market as a whole, especially as we continue to see momentum across our expanding customer base.
HPE’s broad, global partner ecosystem has contributed greatly to our success. Forrester states, “HPE’s strong sales and support machinery gives HPE SimpliVity much more market traction…” HPE is very well positioned to help customers with our global partner network along with new HPE GreenLake advisory services that are designed to improve customer outcomes. The hyperconverged and software-defined infrastructure markets will only continue to expand and pick up speed, and judging by this report, we think HPE will be leading the charge.
How to Get Started With Hyperconverged Infrastructure… Today
With our customer-first approach, it’s not about the cloud destination but the experience so I was not surprised to see HPE listed as a leader in hyperconverged infrastructure; it’s something we’ve known for a long time. When customers experience the powerful benefits of HPE’s data virtualization platform, they realize how unique and valuable the offering is to improving data center operations and performance. For example, Alterra Mountain, Kirton McConkie and others comment on improved survivability, consolidation, and gaining simplified IT environments in this video on “Why customers are choosing HPE SimpliVity.” Customers see real business value in terms of improved disaster recovery, data protection, and business continuity capabilities along with overall operational simplicity for their virtualized environments.
As important as the base technology is, customers like these also advise a well-rounded approach to choosing a hyperconverged solution.
- Look for a vendor with a broad, future proof portfolio of software-defined infrastructure to handle all workloads.
- Don’t get trapped in “either/or” technology. A multi-cloud solution that enables the deployment of a private cloud in minutes and supports your entire IT infrastructure provides you with more options to evolve your data center.
- Does the solution offer “data-center-in-a-box” simplicity with flexible choice, pay-per-use consumption offerings?
