IoT Expected to Go Mainstream – But Not for Everyone

The Internet of Things will move toward mainstream adoption in 2016 in many industries, according to a survey conducted amongst Gartner Research Circle members across the globe. Although less than a third (29%) are currently using IoT, this ratio is expected to rise to 43% in 2016 and 64% eventually. However, the report also notes that 38% have no plans to implement IoT at this stage, with 9% seeing no relevance in the technologies for their business.
