Latest Wearable Devices Set the Trend

New products launched at the recent big showcase for smart home and wearable technologies, the IFA Show in Berlin, are now starting to arrive in the UK, stirring up even more interest and excitement and setting the trend for buyers ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Notable new products include the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch, the ASUS Zenwatch 3, and the Withings Steel HR.

With a large, 1.3-inch screen, the Samsung Gear 3 comes in two variants, Classic and Frontier. They are water-resistant, support mobile payments and come with a heart-rate monitor, altimeter, GPS and speedometer and have a built-in speaker. They will run for up to four days on battery.

The ASUS ZenWatch 3 has an even bigger, 1.39-inch display and is made from jewellery-grade 316 steel and has a diamond-cut bezel. It offer up to two days of battery life and will charge to 60% in 15 minutes.

Withings launched the Steel HR fitness tracker at IFA. This offers optical heart-rate monitoring, tracks steps and calories and also has some basic smartphone features. Remarkably, the Steel HR delivers up to 25 days of battery life.
