Lenovo Expands Carbon X1 Concept

Lenovo has expanded its popular and successful XI Carbon concept to its 2-in-1, Yoga, and All-in-One ranges. At just 17.7mm the ThinkPad is one of the thinnest Ultrabooks on the market and with its excellent 14-inch display and impressive design has proved a great success. Lenovo is now planning to emulate the success of the X1 Carbon across other form factors.

As well as a magnetic, full-size keyboard, the new 12-inch ThinkPad X1 tablet which comes with three add-on modules – an extended battery that provides up to 15 hours of use; a pico projector module and a separate Intel RealSense camera addition. It uses an Intel Core M7 vPro processor and comes with up to 16GB of memory and 1TB of SSD.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga is a 17mm hybrid device and comes with a optional OLED display, a Core i7 processor, 16GB memory and 1TB SSD. In addition, Lenovo has extended its ‘traditional’  laptop range with the 2016 X1 Carbon, which now comes with 1TB SSD storage. Both devices feature power units that are 50% smaller and lighter than on previous versions. There are wireless docking options for all the new X1 devices as well as a generous collection of ports.

The final addition is the ThinkCentre X1 All-in-One, which comes with a 23.8-inch 1920×1080 IPS anti-glare display, Intel Core i-series processor, and up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of storage. The chassis is just 11-millimetre thick, so this device is extremely unobtrusive. A 27-inch, 3840×2160 ThinkVision X1 monitor is available as an option.
