Microsoft Pledges $1 Billion of Cloud Resources to NGOs

Microsoft plans to donate $1 billion-worth of cloud computing resources to non-profit organisations and university researchers over the next three years. In a blog post, the firm said its goal is to support 70,000 NGOs during that time. It will offer access to Office 365, Azure, EMS and CRN Online via its new Microsoft Philanthropies arm.
