Microsoft Select Plus Customers Now Need to Transition to MPSA
Microsoft has been retiring it’s Select Plus Plan since July 1, 2015 and now any remaining customers will no longer be able to make new purchases after their agreement anniversary.
All future purchases will be moved to the Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA). Customers will continue to have full rights and access to all software and Software Assurance they acquired under Select Plus.
The Microsoft Products and Services Agreement is a significant step toward simplifying the volume licensing experience by introducing a simpler and more flexible agreement compared to Select Plus.
With integrated transactional purchasing of Online Services, software and Software Assurance, the MPSA (Microsoft Product and Services Agreement is expanding to provide availability in more countries during 2015.
Microsoft has therefore been retiring Select Plus for commercial customers in a phased approach since last year. Starting on July 1, 2015, Select Plus was no longer available for new customer agreements, with an MPSA offered in its place.
Customers will continue to have full rights and access to all software and Software Assurance they acquired under Select Plus.
The retirement of Select Plus does not apply to:
- Academic Select Plus Agreements
- Government Select Plus Agreements
- Government Partners
Businesses still using Microsoft Select Plus will need to transition to MPSA if they have not already. For further information and support please contact your SCC Account Manager.
