Most New Systems to Incorporate IoT by 2020

The researching body Gartner has predicted that more than half of major new business processes and systems will incorporate some element of the Internet of Things (IoT) by 2020. Despite this, Gartner predicts there will be no purely ‘IoT applications’, but many that use the IoT in some aspect and a need for implementation expertise. Gartner has made predictions that 75% of IoT projects will take up to twice as long as planned and that security costs will increase.
