New WorkForce Pro Printers Cut Environmental Impact and Costs

Epson has launched two new WorkForce Pro business inkjet printers designed specifically to save money, time and energy for customers that need to print in high volumes in colour.

The WF-6590DWF and WF-6090DW reduce environmental impact, cut intervention and streamline workflow. They offer up to 80% lower energy consumption and 50% lower cost-per-page than competitive colour lasers, according to Epson. They produce no heat or ozone gas and there’s no fan noise during or after printing.

A paper capacity of up to 1581 pages means reduced intervention and users can save even more and cut down on visits to the device by using Epson’s XXL ink cartridges, which can print up to 10,000 pages in black and 7,000 pages in colour. Reliability is ensured with Epson’s PrecisionCore permanent print-head and fewer components to replace compared to a colour laser.  Automatic double-sided printing and the ability to use different media in different trays increases their versatility.

Both printers support wireless connectivity and users can to email documents from remote locations for instant printing. The WF-6590DWF also scans and has a large LCD colour touch-screen for easy controls and printing directly from a USB.
