Public and Hybrid Segments Drive Cloud Growth

A report by Synergy Research Group showed that in the year to September 2015, revenues generated by operators and vendors were up 28% to $110 billion. Public IaaS/PaaS services had the highest growth rate at 51%, followed by private and hybrid cloud infrastructure services at 45%. The firm said that spending on infrastructure hardware and software still outpaces spend on cloud services, but the gap is narrowing rapidly.
