Technology Race is On as Stakes Rise in Smartphone Market

Gartner has identified the top 10 smartphones and capabilities that it believes will matter over the next two years in what it says is an increasingly complex and maturing but commoditised and dynamic market. The key technologies include fast and wireless charging, augmented and virtual reality, multiple-lens cameras, biometrics, virtual personal assistants, flexible or curved displays, Wi-Fi 802.11, USB Type-C and Embedded SIM (e-SIM).
