Veeam Availability Suite v9 Reduces RPOs and RTOs

Veeam Software has officially launched the new Veeam Availability Suite v9, which will integrate with EMC VNX and VNXe hybrid storage arrays, giving enterprise IT customers the capability to create backups and take storage snapshots up to 20 times faster than competing products.

It will also be possible to recover individual items from snapshots in two minutes or less by using of Veeam Explorer for Storage Snapshots, without the need for staging or any other intermediate steps.  This means customers can achieve much lower RPOs (recovery point objectives) of 15 minutes or less, according to Veeam, and lower and RTOs (recovery time objectives) with minimal impact on production VMs.

Veeam Availability Suite v9 will also support high-speed recovery to Oracle environments with transaction-level recovery of databases, allowing restoration to a precise point in time.
