Worldwide Smartphone Sales Up 15.5% in Third Quarter

Continued demand for affordable smartphones, especially in emerging markets, drove worldwide sales of smartphones in the third quarter of 2015, according to Gartner. Global sales were 353 million units, 15.5% higher than they were in the same period in 2014. The availability of affordable smartphones drove more consumers to upgrade faster.
